Aufgabengebiet
ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Cooperation
- Disciplinary and functional management of the organisational risk management teams (Corporate, AIFMs & AIFs)
- Close cooperation with the Risk, Compliance & Internal Audit colleagues, appropriate 1st line and 3rd line partners to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and/or controls
- Internal and external stakeholder management as applicable to take a proactive role on risk management matters
Risk Management
- Provide support, advice and counsel to the Management Board and Supervisory Board, in respect to Corporate, AIFMs & AIFs risk management matters
- Accountable for enabling the efficient and effective governance of significant risks, and related opportunities, to the business and its various segments
- Responsible for assessing and mitigating significant threats to a firm's capital and earnings
- Ensure the business' implementation of effective controls to address identified risks, ensure the establishment of effective mitigation processes and chains of ownership and foster positive change in risk management behaviours
- Further development and implementation of consistent best in class risk management policies and tools
Team
- Recruit, direct, motivate and develop professional staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team
- Ensure the teams are equipped to operationalize and attain multi-regional / risk coverage objectives. Assist with the identification and development of talent to ensure appropriate succession planning
Anforderungsprofil
- Strategic thinking / problem solving skills to facilitate the identification of problems, the design and evaluation of options and execution of solutions
- Strong leadership and excellent interpersonal & intercultural skills
- Ability to lead, inspire and motivate teams into consistent high performance
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the regulated financial services industry with a strong background in risk management, preferably in the area of real assets with 3-5 years of experience in leading teams in different countries
- Expert knowledge of international risk management practices with intimate understanding of relevant regulations (BaFin, BuBa, CSSF, FCA, ISAE controls, etc.)
- University degree or equivalent in a quantitative subject (Math, Physics, Economics, Finance or equivalent)
