Fitch Ratings’ International and US Public Finance teams cover the rating of Local and Regional Governments and Public Entities worldwide.

The credit analysis approach is based on an assessment of the relationship between different tiers of government captured in the institutional framework, a number of qualitative and quantitative factors and the link between the LRG and the sovereign. 

Infrastructure & Project Finance

Fitch's Global Infrastructure and Project Finance Group is responsible for the credit ratings of debt related to infrastructure assets mainly in the transportation, energy, and social infrastructure sectors. 

Sovereigns

The Fitch Ratings Sovereigns Group provides credit research and opinion on more than 100 countries, and assigns ratings to the foreign and local currency debt of sovereign governments that account for virtually all of sovereign international debt issuance.
