Aufgabengebiet
The Transplant Diagnostics Technology Sales Specialist position is a senior field sales position. The Technology Sales Specialist manages sales processes in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands in accordance with approved sales and marketing plans. The position involves selling whole workflow solutions for HLA Typing covering Sequence Based Typing, SSO, SSP and Antibody Based Testing. The whole workflow solutions include Sample Preparation Technology (DNA Extraction), Sequencing Instrumentation and Consumables, SSO and SSP instruments and consumables, Software, Service and Support Contracts.
Main focus will be on Sequence Based Testing to establish Life Technologies as the number one supplier.
- Consistently achieve or exceed the territory sales plan by applying a working knowledge of Professional, Consultative and Strategic Selling skills to maintain existing business, developing incremental business in existing accounts, and conducting cold calls to develop new accounts.
- Develop and maintain effective business relationships, at all levels within assigned accounts to influence purchasing decisions.
- Develop, maintain and execute a Strategic Business Plan for the assigned territory to demonstrate effective territory planning and management skills.
- Develop profiles of key accounts to identify key decision makers, influencers and opinion leaders.
- Host and assist product shows on a routine basis.
- Maintain and increase current customer database through Company customer relations management software (Siebel CRM).
- Attain or exceed assigned sales goals, profit goals, and market share goals consistently with respect to expense guidelines.
- Develop and implement account specific strategic plans.
- Formulate and recommend pricing strategies for key accounts.
Anforderungsprofil
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Virology or related field; or the equivalent knowledge and experience
- Requires a minimum 2 years experience as a Senior Technical Sales Representative or equivalent related sales experience
- Working knowledge of Cell Culture and Biotechnology is required
- Knowledge of accounts in territory preferred
- Experience with customer contact, teaching or public speaking helpful
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or like programs helpful
- You are fluent in German and English and live in Germany
