Key tasks will include:

  • Act in a sales engineering function supporting direct and indirect customers in the region
  • Perform technical training's on (Trojan) deep cycle batteries and its use in the various customer applications to an audience of different technical expertise
  • Participate in distributor sales activities with an emphasis on "hands on" training of field sales
  • Maintain a strong understanding of customer requirements, market dynamics, and trends
  • Regularly visit customers to build relationships, address technical issues and drive growth
  • Attend trade shows pertaining to the markets served and act as a regular speaker and trainer
  • Coordinate technical and business correspondence between customers and sales teams
  • Head the ongoing competitive analysis project in the region; communicate customer and competitive information internally
  • Follow up on trainees regularly and define success based on sales performance
  • Identify new applications where the company's products can be used and communicate new findings internally
  • Maintain accurate records of all training and sales activities including sales calls, technical presentations and follow-up activities


As the ideal Technical Sales Engineer: Off Grid Power Systems you will need to have a strong understanding, appreciation and experience of renewable power market (off-grid). You will also need an awareness of the current market intelligence within this field. Our client will be specifically looking for the following essential skills and experience:

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum 3 year's experience in deep cycle batteries, electrical design or renewable energy systems (off-grid)
  • Minimum 3 year's experience in direct technical customer management /product management in renewable energy
  • BSC / BA Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering qualification
  • Language: English and German
  • Strong knowledge of off-grid power system design is essential
  • Must have a strong cultural awareness /understanding; show the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly flexible, self-driven can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be willing to travel extensively
  • Ideal locations, Germany, Ireland, or UK
