For our client we are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner/Generalist in Eisenach.

You will actively support the operation of the business by providing an effective professional business focused generalist HR Service. You will advise and assist managers and colleagues to achieve business objectives and make sure best practice with regards to HR policies and processes.


  • Advise and support line managers and the wider business on organisational design & development, resourcing, remuneration & benefits, discipline & grievance, learning & development, recruitment, succession planning.
  • Experience of Section 613a of the Civil Code Rights and Obligations during the transfer of business
  • Monitor headcount against plan/cost and report accordingly on a monthly basis
  • Manage colleague relationships by responding promptly and accurately to queries and manage expectations
  • Ensure HR matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements
  • Support Head of HR in meetings with the Works Council and Trade Union
  • Liaise with Works Council and Trade Union on working practice where appropriate
  • Deal with grievance, disciplinary and capability and investigation hearings by taking notes and producing relevant documentation
  • Ensure compliance with government legislation relating to recruitment from overseas
  • Compile and deliver training on HR policy and Employment Law updates
  • Produce a training and development plan from appraisals for departments
  • Monitor, review and update all policies in line with current legislation and best practice
  • Continuously seek to improve processes and practices within the HR team
  • Ensure the monthly HR Measures relating to turnover, absence, training and headcount are accurate prior to inclusion in the monthly HR report
  • Responsible compensation and benefits including payroll
  • Liaise with the payroll provider ensuring 100% accuracy


  • Recognised HR qualification
  • >4 years of HR Generalist experience
  • Very good understanding of and relevant experience in compensation & benefits
  • Experience of providing advice to line managers on employee relations issues
  • Experience of working with Works Council and Trade Union
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Windows/PowerPoint
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Effective communication skills, excellent organisational skills, proven team-worker
  • Willingness to travel
